Truth spells and magick

Morality behind the Truth spells

Is it justified to make someone speak the truth ?
Are the reasons behind someones silencing righteous ?
Do we bend someones Free will when we cast Truth spell upon them ?

All of the above can be answered with both yes and no. It is generally considered in occult that compelling someone to tell the truth is black, or at very least gray magick as it effects free will.

But let me ask You this, If a person is testifying falsely to make an innocent go to jail, is the Truth spell justified to use on this occasion ? If someone pretends to be Your friend, just so they can be close to You and harm You , and You suspect this and would like it checked ? If someone is badmouthing You and speaking lies about You , perhaps before You stab pins to beef tongue ( silencing spell ) , You can consider making them tell the truth , that they lied due to their envy and wish to harm You ?

Magick can not always be classified in black and white category , and often it is the Practitioner's intent that gives it a "color"

So If someone tells You how Truth magick is evil, don't You listen to their silly speeches born in blind conviction and narrowness of mind, but question Your intents and needs rather. Make sure they are valid.

Nevertheless, despite the ever continuing discussion on morality and ethics of such spells, they are very useful l and good to know. They are also a lacking category , which is largely underestimated in occult :/ and it should not be. Truth spells always lack, so I have collected and written some and I will post them here for You to learn about and use

So let's starts shall we

Tell the Truth oil
--------------------

All over the Internet is a formula for Truth oil , apparently from Herman Slater and I must say , it is a good perfume but that is really it. Other than Clary sage, other ingredients don't really have use in truth magick, or in magick at all ( marigold leafs oil :S ) and calamus that is indeed a compelling herb. Lavender has no place in this formula , and pine is spiritual cleanser.

Now here is a recipe I would use and I shall explain the choice of ingredients
The formula combines Europeans and Hoodoo herbology, but can still be used as condition oil in my humble opinion

Here we go :

- few bluebell flowers ( whole herb ,it can lack roots though ) ,
- Teaspoon of Clary sage or 12 drops of essential oil
- licorice chips in a pinch
- sweetflag in a pinch
- Sandalwood oil 7 drops ( optional )

Bluebell flowers are said to compel one who beares themm to tell the truth in all matters in European folk herbology . Clary sage is a typical magick herb associated with truth, regardless on form or method used. Licorice and Sweetflag are compelling agents here , to compel person to tell the truth . Sandalwood oil makes agreat addition in any oil that has some spiritual work oriented purpose.

So there You go , a decent formula so You can not say , where can we get Truth oil :)

Days and symbols
-------------------

Days and hours or Mercury are favorable for such a work , or Saturn days if the spells are bit more oriented on forcing someone to be honest and speak the Truth.

Symbols and sigils can be individual or one can use runes, such as Daggaz which is according to many some authors rune of truth, among rest of it's uses.

Than we have the shinjitsu symbolism , or even Druidic AWEN symbol ( shown on picture ) that represents inspiration , truth and poetry.

Now here are some spells :

Compelling to tell the truth
-------------------------------

Get a purple or orange candle , If figural even better. Carve the name of the party/subject on it and dress it with the Truth oil or Essence of Bend Over.

Now chant:

For Conjurers :

Place the candle on the Bible and read Psalm43 and afterwards say :

As Mosses compelled the Sea,
As Lord Christ conquered the Fiend
As King Solomon ordered the Spirits
I compel , conquer and order You tell the truth !


For Witches :

Place the Candle on some sort of Truth sigil ( like rune ) and saY:

Truth must be heard from thy mouth
Either by whisper or by shout
Open thy lips of venom v wide
Power of this charm must ye abide
Honest, true words so eagerly concealed
Tongue unbind and be revealed !


Loose lips charm
--------------------

The truth spell/charm
Prepare the following under a light of Purple and white candles , preferably on the night of the Full Moon or in Middy on a clear sky day.
Day and hour of Mercury are also very favorable for such a spell.

This should be prepared under purple and white candle. On a piece of parchment draw runes Laguz , Ansuz and Dagaz , preferably as bindrune . Take a whole ( root can lack )
Bluebell flower and place it on the paper with bindrune. Fold the paper so that the flower remains inside the folded paper ( it is good to use dried and pressed flower for this ). Alternatively You could place bindrune and herbs in small sachet.
Along with bindrune or instead of it You could use Druidic symbol AWEN symbol of truth and inspiration.

Now place this between two candles and chant:

I need thee truth speaking
Only true words of sincerity
As soon upon this charm taking
Compelled will be to the honesty !

Dress it with few vine drops , and let it dry, blow the candles out. Now implant this somewhere where subject will take it, and carry it , unwillingly is fine. You could slip it into their pocket , or into their documents. Once they take it ,or when You are sure they took it, and You are near enough to see them, whisper : Veritas dica !
The approach them and ask them what You want to know. They will be compelled to tell the truth.

TRUTH SPELL


A white candle
A picture of the person or just a small piece of paper to put the persons name.

Get the white candle and light it up (at night before you go to sleep) and say:

"To see the truth, to know the way, I cast a spell in every day, buy the power of three,I conjure thee to give thy truth, unto me."

Then blow out the candle while saying the persons name you want to put the truth spell on.In the morning, light the candle again, say the spell again and say the person aloud, then blow out the candle while saying the persons name...and say it through the smoke of the candle so it can work.

How to make Chinese wash and Four thieves vinegar

Chinese wash ( homemade ) recipe

Chinese wash is considered to be the best choice for purifications as it removes curses , hexes and tricks that might have been laid before You , Crossings and alike. It also attracts good fortune and customers according to many Rootworkers. It is a commercial formula, that is made with essential oil of certain Grasses of same Family ( Lemongrass , Citronella , Gingergrass ) and as such original recipe is kept secret . Yet all ingredients are well known , just not the dosage. Here is how You could make a Household version that is equally effective :

Homemade Chinese wash :
--------------------------

A cup of pine scented commercial wash for floors or sanitary A cup of household Ammonia

A teaspoon of Van Van oil

Pine needles approximately dozen

Broom straw approximately dozen Bucket of water ,

best use spring water yet tap water can do fine If the previous lacks

Some salt ( approximately a tablespoon )


Four thieves vinegar

------------------------

Traditionally Four thieves vinegar is made by adding following plants in any type of vinegar and toping them ( covering with vinegar completely )

- rosemary
- sage
- thyme
- lavender

Here is what Rootworkers use today usually

1.Cheep red wine that stood open for few days
Crushed and peeled few garlic cloves inside

2. In apple cider or red wine vinegar soak :

-garlic (crushed or whole),
-red pepper (crushed),
-black peppercorns (whole), and
-black mustard seed (whole).

Let's see the correspondences here ( in conjure style ) shall we

-garlic - banishment , exorcism , demon repelling all manners of evil , protection

-Red pepper - used to make poeple move away , remove crossed conditions and sent them back , protect from and banish evil , to cause confusion and misfortune to another, used also in discord and divorce , argument spells
-Black pepercorns , whole to get rid of evils or to cast it on someone , also to make someone move away
-Black mustard seeds , to disrupt actions of adversary, to cause an ''inflammatory'' confusion

So now we are on the spot . The use of this formula ( either of the two ) would be protection , banishment , hexing or moving someone away Here is Marie Levaeu spell to prove this

TO MAKE SOMEONE MOVE AWAY

On a piece of parchment write the person's name on it. Place this in a bottle and cover with Four Thieves Vinegar. Seal the bottle and throw it into a moving body of water. Marie Laveau asserts that as the bottle is carried away by the water, so shall this person be removed from your location.

I saw formulas that include lemongrass , tarragon , mint , basil , onion and but those are obviously recent formulations and most certainly not Four thieves vinegar , or Infusion of the Grave robbers as also referred sometimes .

Yet the first formula is the most traditional and believed to originate from French in 15th century when plague had taken so many lives . However that formulas does not correspond magickal use of the Four thieves vinegar , actually not Even by European folk witchery as the uses of herbs are way to diverse in the recipe even in European folk tradition.

The other recipe is hardly to be used at that point in French as French people ( though curiously keen on garlic ) , just adore the four herbs mentioned and were always native in French and Europe . However it is perfect fit to the magickal use of Four thieves vinegar .

Which one shall You use :)

Hoodoo herbology Dev*l's shoestrings and Dev*l's bit

Devil’s shoestrings

These are the plants of genera Viburnum , Honeysuckle family. The ones used in magick are most commonly Viburnum alnifolium, V.prunifolium and V.opulus .As medicinal plants they are anti spasmodic , that had shown great success in treating menstrual cramps and pains.

Nevertheless as a magickal plant , we use roots of Viburnum in Conjure traditions for purposes that can be guessed from name . We use it to make Dev*l trip over , to protect ourselves from Him and his servants.

For this purpose You can hang 9 or 13 of D Shoestrings on a thread with a piece of Dev*l’s bit in the middle of the thread. Sprinkle all very lightly with Holy water or Florida water/cologne and hung above the door. It will prevent any malevolent Spirit from gaining entrance to Your room/dwelling/premises .

They can be added to Reversing Mojo Hands , Reversing oil , to Job gaining hands, such as

Steady work hand

- gravel root piece
- some Blessed salt
- One to three D. shoestrings

You can use them to make

Devils shoestring oil :

- some D Shoestrings ( I use 7 of them few inches long but You can use a single large piece )
- pinch of Cayenne pepper flakes ( this is entirely optional )
- 2 oz’s of base oil


NOTE : Conjure doctors use only whole root pieces , not small chips You can get in pharmacy. If using for cramps use with caution and follow the instructions

Devil’s bit

This is a plant from Asteraceae family ( Scabiosa succisa ), very pretty plant with a blue colored flowers.
It is used medicinally against coughs, fever and a very good addition to skin condition treatments and ointments.

In terms of magick however it is even more prized plant. Originating from Hoodoo herb magick , it is well known as plant that banishes, vanquishes and overcomes evil, protect from the same and is used in some of the most powerful herbal charms against evil

According to legend this plant was so helpful to humans, that the Dev*l got angry and bit off the part of the root. In some versions G’d in others Kind Mother of Lord Mary, allowed plant to thrive and become even stronger than before. And the plant’s root indeed looks like someone took a bite out of it, and just that curious root is used in magick.

You can add it to Oils like Run Dev*l Run, or Flying Dev*l oil, it can be powdered and used alone or with other plants ( such as Agrimony, Laurel, Fern , Peony root, Angelica ) as a strong protective agent. It is often combined with Dev*l’s shoestrings or bad Nut, to protect from evil, or reverse bad magick.

Here is such an example ( quotation ) from Miss Cat’s “Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic, Materia Magica of African American Conjure” book, edition 2001st year

A "Devil Hand" for Protection: Combine a whole DEVIL'S BIT root, nine pieces of Devil's Shoe Strings roots, and a Devil Pod in a black leather bag. On a small piece of paper, write the Name of the person from whom you want to protect yourself, cross and cover the Name with your Name written three times, and fold the Name-Paper around a pinch of Devil's Dung, folding away from you each time until it is a small packet. Dress the packet with Run Devil Run Oil and place it in the bag. This is among the strongest reversing hands that can be made, but you may have to find and dig your own DEVIL'S BIT, or grow it in your garden, for the whole root is not always available in commerce.

It is also commonly added to products such as Fiery wall of protection, or Uncrossing, and Miss Cathrine Yronwode in the same book mentions How it is common to burn plant root chips on high none , and their fumes shall destroy enemies power to harm You, or torment You.

NOTE: For medicinal purposes herb ( above root plant ) is used. Some authors classify it under O. Dipsales and family Dipsaceae, yet to me it’s older taxonomy seemed more correct. That is why I stated that it is a part of Asteraceae family.
